Dr. Loren Borud Continues to Reinvent Himself

For those who may not have been aware, Loren Borud has been a key figure in the world of medicine and plastic surgery for decades now. The good doctor has been no less than an upstanding citizen with a strong track record of quality work and scores of delighted patients.

He has spent 20 years as a plastic surgeon with his own private practice. In that time, he slowly helped his patients rediscover the confidence and the vitality they have always had with them. He took on hundreds of patients, and performed surgeries when most of his fellow doctors had declined to do so. He also made it a point to foster a warm and cozy atmosphere for all of the people who came through his doors.

He has been a major player in the development of the tools and techniques utilized by cosmetic surgeons worldwide, having gone eight years as part of the faculty of the Harvard Medical School in Boston, and as a member of the Division of Plastic Surgery research division at UCLA. Dr. Loren Borud also had been a key resource person for several symposia and speaking engagements around the world, with events in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and more.

The world is now Dr. Borud’s proverbial oyster, as he begins a new life with a new trail to blaze. Already he has begun to take his MBA in the prestigious Kellogg School of Management in Northwestern University, and has engaged in the work of corporate consultations, specifically on marketing to the plastic surgery world. In 2008, Dr. Borud even founded Borud Consulting, which extends help to companies in the management and marketing of medical services, strategic planning, and medical micro-economics.

Also, coming soon in bookstores everywhere will be the latest endeavor of Loren Borud: his single-author book Plastikonomics, where he reveals the hard truths in the cosmetic surgery industry.
