Harvard Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Loren Borud, Builds on His Success

Long years of practice and active involvement in various medical organizations and institutions have made Dr. Loren Borud one of Boston’s most successful plastic surgeons and healthcare consultants. He specializes in plastic surgery, including breast enhancements, breast reductions and reconstructive surgical procedures.

Born in Minot, North Dakota, Dr. Borud started to show his skills and interests in the field of medicine when he stepped into college. He majored in Physics and Human Biology at Stanford University and graduated with honors. He completed his medical degree at the Harvard Medical School where he also worked as an assistant professor of plastic surgery for eight years.

Before he had successfully put up his own consulting business, which he calls Borud Consulting and the Plastic Surgery Network, Inc., he rendered service with other hospitals, such as UCLA Medical Center, Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York and Martin Luther King Jr./ Drew Medical Center. He is also affiliated with various organizations such as the American Society for Plastic Surgeons and the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Borud has shared his wide knowledge on the industry of healthcare and plastic surgery by authoring a few book chapters and scientific publications. His book entitled “Plastikonomics: What I Learned as a Harvard Plastic Surgeon,” which talks about the economics of plastic surgery, has also been successfully completed.
